Keep Dancing and Nobody Gets Murdered

"Okay Ymiv, you're going in. Be quick and look carefully, then we can avoid all the disaster that the Puppet Master has planned for us. And don't take off your mask if you can help it. Otherwise, the guests will quickly realize you don't fit in."

In the center of the Kingdom of Rimanaulia lies Palace Hordatio, where a mysterious, wealthy warlock, known as Puppet Master lives and hosts regular celebrations. Nobody knows his true identity or his intentions, yet the nobles of the great kingdom care not, since his banquets and parties have no match. However, you and your guardian fairy know his true malicious intents and plan to put a stop to his plans of overthrowing the kingdom and breaking the peace. Together you will find him and unmask him once and for all.

"Keep Dancing and Nobody Gets Murdered" is a two-player cooperation game that has one of the players take on a role of an infiltrator in Virtual Reality as they wander the banquet halls and investigate from the inside, while the other becomes a guardian fairy, looking from above and providing information and clues that help to identify the Puppet Master.

Yet, that task is not easy, as the halls are filled with a variety of colourful guests, who are busy with their own pleasure and partying, forever unconcerned with secret plans of the Puppet Master. The many clues that the guardian fairy has access to will guide the infiltrator closer and closer to identifying their target and will end with a chance to rip off their mask off and save everyone.

There is no onboarding in the game, so here is the important information:
In the start menu, you can select between the available buttons using arrow keys. #known-bug -> If you left-click or provide some other input, you won't be able to select between buttons.

Once in game - the VR player and flatscreen player will have very different gameplay available to them:

Flatscreen player will see an overview of everything happening on the banquet. Using arrow keys then can access their notes about how to identify the Puppet Master.

VR Player will start inside the banquet and immediately see guests wandering around. They can walk and explore using the left joystick of their VR controller.

By using grip buttons, they can grab certain objects - masks and a clicker.

The mask they start with on their face shields the player from being detected by the guests of the banquet and failing their quest. It can be also placed on the hip belt (especially useful, when looking for visual clues), but there is only a limited time they can be without a mask, before someone raises an alarm.

To unmask the Puppet Master, the VR player has to physically grab the mask on their suspect and take it off them. The game will then determine, whether the players have succeeded or not.

The clicker is a utility tool, with which the player can start counting, if it ever becomes troublesome. Using triggers on the controllers, the counter will go up.
